Hello fellow fan! I’m American, and obsessed! However, I am a minority, so there’s that… My cousin, in fact, was into it before me (and he’s American). I can’t speak for all Americans, but I think it’s brilliant.

Does Doctor Who really appeal that much to Americans? Of course we love it over here but when I’ve spoken to Americans about it the whole idea seems to inspire only bemusement.

Hmm, I’m not sure. but BBC is sure doing everything in their power to get americans excited, to the point of annoying pandering.
With cable TV & BBCAmerica, it’s much easier to get international shows. We used to rely on whatever tv stations we could pick up from Canada.
