A Day in the Life

Posted on: April 12, 2015

It’s not that I’ve been procrastinating writing my review of Neal Asher’s The Gabble (it was hella fun, btw), it’s that I’ve been elsewhere on the web’o’sphere:

I was part of a SFSignal Mind Meld on Remembering Leonard Nimoy and Terry Pratchett. I sent the link to my Dad, he said he liked my response.

I interviewed Tim Lebbon over at SFSignal about his newest apocalyptic novel The Silence

I interviewed A.C. Wise at Apex Magazine about her short story “Silver Buttons All down His Back”

S.C. Flynn interviewed me over at Scy-Fy.

I’ve been packing like a crazy mo-fo. Today I’m tackling the kitchen, the boardgames cabinet, and the entertainment center. or at least hoping to.

I was glad to get you answering some questions, Andrea.

i did another interview about a year ago:

Interview: Andrea Johnson, Reader Primus

it’s fun being on both sides of that equation.

Thanks! A very good and very different interview! There are so many ways of approaching interviewing, just like there are for reviewing or writing, I guess.

Hello Andrea, I have read AC Wise’s short story and I liked it a lot – in some parts made me think of Gattaca, a movie that I loved. Thanks for posting the interview’s link here, great job as usual!

is it a little Gattaca, isn’t it? (I love that movie too). I mentioned it in the interview, but i got something very personal out of that story. We all want to be accepted by people we love, want to climb out of our skins or into another skin so we can be exactly who they want to love, even though that person might not be us. it’s an easy, but incredibly hard thing to think about.

Indeed, and it’s difficult not sounding cheesy. AC Wise managed beautifully.

some of the books reviewed here were free ARCs supplied by publishers/authors/other groups. Some of the books here I got from the library. the rest I *gasp!* actually paid for. I'll do my best to let you know what's what.
